For more than 30 years, Silverados Sportfishing has welcomed anglers, families, and ocean lovers to the waters of Cabo San Lucas. What began with one 33ft boat has grown into one of Cabo's most established sportfishing operations, built on experience, transparency, and a deep respect for the sea.

Our Founding Family
Our Beginning
The story of Silverados begins with Gllen, who came to Los Cabos from Rocky Point, Sonora. Gllen grew up around the water, surrounded by boats and the rhythm of his family's shipyard. After living in different parts of Sonora and Baja California Sur, he arrived in Cabo San Lucas and was drawn to the place, the marina, and the fishing culture that would later define his life's work.
His first boat in Cabo was a 33ft vessel named Solmar 0. That boat would become the beginning of Silverados Sportfishing. From Solmar 0, the fleet grew vessel by vessel, year by year. What started as one boat became a family-run operation known for reliable boats, experienced local crews, and honest service on the water.
Many guests have become returning friends over the years, coming back season after season and sharing the experience with their own children on the same waters where their Silverados story began.

Today, Silverados is built on the same values that shaped its beginning: respect for the ocean, care for every guest, and pride in representing Mexico in the sportfishing world. Beyond the water, Gllen has served as an active advisor to government authorities in Baja California Sur and Mexico, working to protect the region's marine flora and fauna.
